Dzogchen Lama Yangtik Teachings
Lama Yangtik ‘The Innermost Heart Drop of the Guru’ is one of the Four Branches of Heart Essence. These precious Dzogchen teachings are based on the commentary on the Vima Nyingtik by Longchenpa. The Vima Nyingtik and Khandro Nyingtik are known as the ‘mother’ Nyingtik texts and the Lama Yangtik and Khandro Yangtik are known as ‘child’ texts, hence another common name for the collection is the Four Mother and Child Sections of Nyingtik (Tib. nyingtik ma bu shyi). Together these four texts are known as the Nyingtik Yabshi – the Four Branches of Heart Essence.
This is a rare opportunity as these teachings have seldom been taught in the West. and this is the first time this great master, Kenchen Tsewang Rinpoche, has taught in our region of Mexico.
Please note that admission to the Longchenpa teaching is restricted to those who have completed Ngöndro, taken refuge, and have received at least one empowerment.
Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche is a distinguished lama of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and one of three senior Khenchens overseeing the Ngagyur Nyingma University of Namdroling Monastery, the main shedra of the Palyul Lineage. He was asked by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche to teach in the West, and now travels extensively in America, Europe and Asia. He is recognized as embodying a rare combination of great scholarship, great compassion, and a unique ability to transmit profound Dharma teachings .
