Xo Ki’in (Pronounced “Show Keen”)

Xo Ki’in offers a range of arts and meditation retreats on the shores of the Caribbean surrounded by the beautiful environment of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere. Miles of  beaches, turquoise water and the Palancar reef in front of the retreat center make it ideal for long beach walks, snorkeling or lazing about in hammocks.

White coral beaches, palm trees and the pristine turquoise Caribbean enhance the beauty of ecologically designed buildings in this gorgeous, remote setting.  Solar powered lights 24 hours a day, and solar heated showers from rain water cisterns provide the comforts of home in a Maya jungle lodge that is “off the grid”. With this comes excellent, delicious, home cooked meals prepared the Slow Food way…adding to the sense of peace and the abundance of nature.

Courses range from three days to two weeks. Arts courses have included batik, ceramics, cooking, mural painting, water colour, and photography.  Retreats have been led by masters from various traditions and have included, Yoga, Tai Chi, Reiki, Tibetan Buddhism, and Sacred Geometry.

Courses endeavor to make a link with the local Maya culture and traditions to enrich ones experience.
